Our Centre provides full rehabilitation services to special children belonging to the underprivileged areas of Karachi. We believe that special children need to be helped in all areas, and we even provide their caregivers with the opportunity to stay with their children and learn how to better take care of them.

Key Services offered daily to our children are designed to supplement educational training to provide holistic development for each child.

Occupational Therapy:

One of SRSC’s key goals is to enable the children to overcome their impairment, injury, or disability by using play-based activities to develop their motor, cognitive, sensory, and behavioral skills.

The programs we use are specially developed by occupational therapists who focus on empowering the child and their families with essential activities and skill-building exercises.

Speech Therapy:

Speech therapy at SRSC is done with the latest equipment and with a trained team of therapists. The first work to diagnose the problems and then develop customized treatment plans for every child.

Physiotherapy:

With trained physiotherapists on staff and visiting orthopedic surgeons, we ensure that the best development options are given to each child. Our goal is to help each as we can and continue to help them develop as they grow older.

Health Clinic and Services:

A significant part of SRSC services to its children is providing clinical services ranging from immunizations and nutritional care to dispensing vital medicines. We also have a dental clinic where volunteer dentists provide dental care for our children

Sports:

At SRSC we are proud to be one of the original institutions to focus on sports for special children and are a member of the Special Olympics of Pakistan. We have a made-for-special children’s sports facility, with a covered shed for races, a basketball / hard court for games, and programs on physical fitness for all of our ‘athletes’.

Every year, 4 sports days are held at our sports facility, with other special children participating. And we send our teams to local and international tournaments. SRSC children have won Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at the World Special Olympics event held in Los Angeles in 2015.

Transportation:

All of our efforts would not be possible without our free transportation for all our children. We operate multiple vans that pick up and drop our children and their caregivers to and from the SRSC Centre.
